Adekunle Soname
Chairman
Kunle possesses extensive experience and rigorous expertise in conceptualizing, developing and executing a wide range of projects worldwide. He has held various positions, establishing multiple organizations and acquiring ownership of international businesses. With his unique and creative vision, he founded ValueJet, bringing together an outstanding team to establish an airline where everyone can fly.
Capt. Omololu Majekodunmi
Managing Director / CEO
Omololu brings over 35 years of flying experience across every category of commercial passenger and cargo operation, as an airline pilot both in Nigeria and abroad. He has served as international coordinator at Thai Flying Airlines, as Director of Flight Operations & Safety Management, and as fleet captain at several airlines including heavy-lift cargo, before helping to start up ValueJet. The delivery of the airline’s mission and vision rests significantly on his direction.
Capt. Abdellatif Mechergui
Head of Flight Operations
As Head of Flight Operations, Abdellatif leads the department responsible for how ValueJet flies: crew standards and training, rostering and flight-time limitations, operational control, and compliance with the regulations governing every departure. He works alongside the Chief Pilot and the safety function to keep the operation both punctual and within its procedures.
Trevor Henry
Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)
Trevor owns the airline’s commercial strategy, with a particular focus on distributing ValueJet’s products and services and generating revenue through both direct and indirect sales channels. He brings over 40 years in the aviation industry across South Africa, Australia, Zimbabwe, India, Ghana and Nigeria, in senior management positions with South African Airways, Alitalia and Arik Air.
Yewande Cole
Head of Ground Operations
Yewande’s aviation career began in 1985 as an Aircraft Maintenance Radio Engineer at Bristow Helicopters, and in 1996 she became the first female Flight Engineer in West Africa, flying the Boeing 727 at ADC Airlines. She moved into aviation administration in 2012 as Flight Operations Admin Coordinator at Bristow, remaining there until joining ValueJet as Head of Operations in 2019.
Engr. Samuel Marcus
Head of Maintenance
Samuel began as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with EAS Airline in 1997, later joining Chanchangi Airlines and Aero Contractors as a B1 Certifying Engineer on line and base maintenance between 2006 and 2013, and serving as Aero’s Line Maintenance Manager from 2013 to 2015. He was Head of Maintenance at Azman Airlines from 2015 to 2020, and most recently Chief Inspector and Quality Control Maintenance at Air Peace before joining ValueJet.
Temitope Ajijola
Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Temitope brings over 15 years of business systems and change management experience, developing and implementing initiatives that drive productivity and growth for airlines. He worked at Arik Air before moving to Emirates in Dubai as Business Project Manager, where he initiated and managed the Passenger Service and other business programmes, and now leads business programmes and IT at ValueJet.
Oscar Ikeriouwu
Chief Pilot
As Chief Pilot, Oscar is responsible for the standards ValueJet’s flight crew fly to — line training and checking, standard operating procedures, and the currency and competence of the pilot body. He is the point of reference for the flight deck on how the airline’s procedures are applied in practice, day to day across the network.
Adeniyi Adekala
Chief Security Officer (CSO)
Adeniyi holds a Diploma in Aviation Security Management and is a veteran security associate with over ten years of managerial experience. He is well versed in implementing network-wide operational security standards and procedures in line with international security legislation, with demonstrated expertise in personnel and asset protection, and training in emergency response and de-escalating conflict.
Kamil Odumosu
Group Head Human Resources
Kamil is a results-driven HR leader with more than 15 years of experience driving strategic initiatives across multiple industries, including telecommunications, financial services and professional services. Having advised clients at one of the Big Four consulting firms, he has led projects spanning talent management and acquisition, learning and development, organisational development, performance management, and the design and delivery of assessment and development centres.
Edward Ige
Cabin Services Manager
Edward is an aviation professional with over 30 years in the industry and strong work ethics, specialising in training focused on excellent customer service, safety and emergency procedures, interpersonal skills and leadership. He is also a dynamic project manager with considerable communication and organisational expertise.
Elliot Imaabin
Chief Finance Officer
Elliot is a qualified accountant (ACCA) with over ten years of experience in management consulting, external audit, financial reporting, budgeting and accounting, and an alumnus of two of the Big Four audit firms. He is skilled in finance transformation and IFRS, brings experience across oil and gas, FMCG, power and utilities, mining, shipping and consulting, and works with Python, Tableau and Power BI. He leads the finance function at ValueJet.
Adenike Onokpasah
Admin & Office Manager
Adenike is an accomplished administrative head with over fourteen years of experience in marketing, strategic planning, business development and human resources management across a multi-disciplinary environment, having overseen these departments at different stages of development and growth. She is a versatile executive who brings efficiency to office operations through effective management methods.
Oluwatoyin Ogunsola
General Counsel
Oluwatoyin is a legal practitioner with over 20 years of experience and a proven track record of decisive leadership in demanding environments. She holds an LLB from Obafemi Awolowo University with a distinction in international trade and investment law, and an LLM in international law from the University of Pretoria with a distinction in international human rights law. Her career spans Deji Sasegbon and Associates, Women’s Aid Collective, Oxfam Great Britain in Southern Africa, WISCAR, Parkway Microfinance Bank and Konga, before she took charge of ValueJet’s legal department.
